5 Adelaide Easter Long Weekend Ideas

5:59 AM

I love this time of the year, hot cross buns, chocolate, cooler weather and best of all 4 whole days off! Sometimes though people get stuck for ideas of what to do so I have complied a list of 5 things you could do over the Easter long weekend.

1. Have a movie day Matt and I have already put into our calendars to spend all of Sunday in our pyjamas eating hot cross buns and watching movies. Spending all day in our pyjamas is a rarity in this household, but I am so looking forward to Sunday and having a day of much needed relaxation.

2. Go out for Brunch. Brunching is one of our favourite things to do. Recently we went to Aldinga to visit Rosey's. It was such a lovely spot for brunch and with the forecast for this weekend looking great in Adelaide it is a good time to enjoy their excellent outdoor seating area, sit back and listen to the multitudes of Corella's they have in the area. Best thing is, they're open Easter Friday/Saturday/Sunday and Monday 9am-12:30.

3. Mini Golfing! Again, the forecast is looking excellent. Why not make a day of it and head down to Victor Harbour and check out Dunes Mini Golf, go for a stroll to Granite Island and grab some lunch at one of the many cafes in the area. Victor Harbour too far? West Beach also have a great mini golf spot or head to the Beach House at Glenelg.

4. Visit the Adelaide Zoo. Adelaide Zoo is one of my favourite places in the world. I don't think I really need to explain why going to the zoo is a good idea, just look at the place.

5. Go for a drive. One of our favourite things to do on the weekend is go for a country drive. We are so spoilt in Adelaide, we have the ocean to the west, the hills to the east and wineries to the north and south, just take your pick.

I hope you all have a fantastic long weekend, however you choose to celebrate it. Make sure you get plenty of rest and relaxation in, enjoy time with family and friends and most importantly, eat lots of chocolate!

xx
